When & Where?

Convention is June 20-22, 2025 at the PAL Hotel in Springfield. All deadlines are May 20th by 3 PM.

 

Registration

Registration is online for the 80th Annual Illinois AMVETS Convention. Registration is $15, and everyone must pay registration to be on the floor. Pre-registration includes a program book. If you choose to register at the event, books are subject to availability.

 

Rooms, mileage & per diem

Service Foundation members, Department District Commanders, Department Appointed Officers and Post SEC Committeemen are the only individuals who will receive rooms, mileage and per diem paid by the AMVETS. 

 

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend, but it will be at your own expense. All room reservations must be made online.

Reports

​Service Foundation members, Department District Commanders, Department Appointed Officers and Post SEC Committeemen are required to submit written reports no later than May 20. Rooms, mileage and per diem will not be provided to those officers who fail to do so. (Click the button at the top to submit.)

Stars & Stripes Banquet

The Stars & Stripes banquet will be on on Saturday, June 21st. Social hour will be at 6 PM. Dinner will begin at 7 PM, with presentations to follow.

 

NEW THIS YEAR: the banquet will be held off-site at Saputos Restaurant, located at 801 E. Monroe. This is within walking distance to the hotel, just 1 block south of the Adams St. entrance. Space is limited, so please reserve and pay for your tickets as soon as possible. No banquet tickets will be sold on-site.

 

Dinner tickets are $40 each.  The buffet-style meal will include:

• Bread

• Salad

• Chicken parmigiana, cheese ravioli with marinara sauce, baked mostaccioli with meat sauce, rigatoni with vodka sauce, tortellini alfredo and Italian meatballs

• Antipasto

• Spumoni ice cream

There will also be a cash bar on-site.
